Schiff Hardin partner Alexander B. Young will present a session titled “Letters of Intent and Other Preliminary Considerations” during “Acquiring or Selling the Privately Held Company 2014,” a seminar presented by the Practising Law Institute. Mr. Young will examine topics such as:
- The elements and purposes of a letter of intent
- Advantages and disadvantages in using a letter of intent
- Impact on negotiating strategy and bargaining leverage
- Early deal considerations and planning issues
Mr. Young, a member of the firm’s Corporate and Securities and Private Companies Group, has extensive experience with merger and acquisition transactions, private equity, securities offerings and compliance, and corporate governance and board matters.
