Larry Jacobson

Larry Jacobson concentrates his practice in federal and state taxation law. He has had extensive experience in tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, corporate financings and corporate restructurings.He also has an active tax planning practice which includes such areas as net operating loss carryovers, alternative minimum tax, S corporations and consolidated income tax returns.
In addition, he has an active tax litigation practice and has tried several cases before the U.S. Tax Court.
Mr. Jacobson has:
- Significant experience representing foreign parties with respect to their acquisitions of U.S.-based corporations and ongoing foreign tax planning matters
- Represented numerous tax-exempt organizations on matters involving their tax status
- Represented parties with respect to tax issues associated with corporate bankruptcies
- Extensive experience in state income and sales tax matters, including representation of corporate taxpayers before state revenue departments
Mr. Jacobson is a frequent contributor to the AICPA Tax Insider newsletter, published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
