Overview

Michael works with a wide range of corporate clients and employers in all phases of labor and employment law, including representing management in matters pertaining to employee discipline, harassment and discrimination, onboarding and separation of employment, collective bargaining, wage and hour matters, and employment contracts.

He has successfully litigated numerous cases in federal and state courts, and regularly represents clients in proceedings before federal and state agencies. Michael frequently counsels clients to help them navigate the complex maze of federal and state labor and employment laws.

  • Experience

    • Prevailed in numerous labor arbitrations involving employee discipline—including termination—and contract interpretation.
    • Obtained summary judgment in multiple discrimination cases.
    • Collectively bargained labor agreements.
    • Prevailed on summary judgment in ADA and FMLA cases.
    • Successfully represented employers in numerous unfair labor practice proceedings.
    • Negotiated favorable settlements in various disputes, including those involving class and/or collective liability.
    • Successfully defended multiple discrimination claims brought at the agency level.
    • Counseled clients on compliance with federal and state laws, policies and procedures, employment contracts, and hiring and terminations.
