Labor and Employment Practice Group Deputy Leader Lauren Novak was quoted on how the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Janus v. AFSCME, which ruled nonunion workers cannot be forced to pay fair share fees to public sector unions, will affect the future of those unions.
"There is no doubt that this decision profoundly impacts whether public sector unions will exist in the future,” Lauren said. “Without the ability to collect fair share fees, many may not survive."
