Eisenstein and Hickey Named to Crain’s Chicago Notable Women Lawyers List

Schiff Hardin LLP is proud to announce that Managing Partner Marci Eisenstein and White Collar Defense and Government Investigations Practice Group Leader Maggie Hickey have been named to the inaugural Crain’s Custom Media Chicago’s Notable Women Lawyers list, which celebrates seasoned female attorney leaders who have made significant contributions to the legal industry in the last year.

To be recognized on the list, attorneys must have demonstrated the ability to affect change in their role or area of practice and have served as a role model or mentor to other female attorneys.

In 2015, Marci was elected managing partner, the first woman to hold that role in Schiff Hardin’s 150-year history. In addition to serving as a mentor for associates and partners, she was also a founding member and chair of Schiff’s Diversity Committee. Marci is a longtime member of the Illinois chapter of JDRF, the world’s leading organization for type 1 diabetes research funding.

As the former Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor, Maggie has a long and notable career in government spanning both Springfield, Ill., and Washington, D.C. She was recently tapped to conduct high-profile investigations regarding alleged misconduct in the Illinois House of Representatives and Chicago Public Schools. Maggie is on the board of directors and a former chair of the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago and is active with the Oak Park Infant Welfare Society.
