Partner Julie Stahr was quoted on the U.S. Supreme Court refusing to consider an appellate court ruling regarding whether Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects employees from sexual orientation discrimination.
With conflicting rulings from various U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals, Julie emphasized the importance of the U.S. Supreme Court agreeing to hear a case on the subject soon.
“I do think it would benefit everybody to have consistency and certainty, no matter what the ruling is, so I hope that they take it up soon.”
