Partner Gabe Rodriguez, who leads the firm’s Environmental Group, was quoted by The Legal Intelligencer regarding the impact of President Trump’s executive orders reviving the Dakota Access and Keystone XL oil pipeline projects. He observed that the orders are a "clear signal" that the president intends to "change course on energy policy."

Gabe also discussed the reaction from conservation organizations and advocates.

“Environmental and citizen activist groups are likely to respond aggressively, opposing projects in the permitting process as well as through litigation challenging the legitimacy of permits and approvals,” Gabe said. “Firms with experience litigating these kinds of lawsuits and in responding to activist strategies should see an increase in activity.”
