Such civil enforcement not only results in the prompt removal of counterfeit merchandise from the marketplace, but also provides immediate inspection of the defendant's books and records, often leading to the identification of manufacturing and distribution sources. Whenever permitted, we also seek the seizure and sale of equipment used in the manufacture and distribution of counterfeit goods, which may contribute to recovery of our clients' enforcement costs.
