For clients with limited in-house counsel resources or where the in-house counsel staff is stretched thin, Schiff Hardin attorneys partner with the business decision-makers to ensure that a company's legal function contributes to the achievement of the company's business goals. In this role, we may:
- Draft, review or negotiate business contracts
- Assist in structuring, documenting and closing transactions
- Design and implement corporate policy statements and procedures
- Advise on labor, tax, benefits, real estate, or environmental issues that arise in the regular course of a company's business
- In many instances, we also provide expertise addressing unusual corporate law questions or larger, complex transactions, or transactions without precedent.
