Schiff Hardin LLP's Mitchell S. Rieger will Participate in a Book Signing

For His Collection of Photography “Faces and Places - 68 Years of Photography”

Schiff Hardin Partner Mitchell "Mitch" S. Rieger will sign copies of his book, "Faces and Places — 68 Years of Photography," at a book signing sponsored by the Chicago Crime Commission. The book features a collection of photographs taken over the course of nearly seven decades while Mr. Rieger traveled the world photographing people, places and things. The book signing is scheduled for December 5 at The Chicago Club.

Mr. Rieger currently serves as the firm's conflicts screening partner. In this role, he is the gatekeeper for all new matters coming to our firm from existing and new clients. Prior to joining Schiff Hardin as a partner in 1961, concentrating in general litigation, insurance, and securities and futures litigation, he was an associate at Rieger & Rieger (1950 to 1954), an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois (1954 to 1960 — Chief, Tax Division, 1954 to 1955; Chief, Criminal Division, 1955 to 1958; and First Assistant, 1958 to 1960); and Associate General Counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission (1960 to 1961).

Mr. Rieger has been a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers since 1980 and served for five years on its Legal Ethics Committee and for five years on its Illinois State Committee. He was President of the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (1959 to 1960) and National Vice President of its 7th District (1960 to 1961).
