Schiff Hardin LLP's Jonathan Friedland will be Honored by the American Bankruptcy Institute for Recent Book Publication

Jonathan Friedland, a partner in Schiff Hardin's Restructuring, Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Group, will be honored by the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) for his recent book, "Chapter 11 – '101': The Nuts and Bolts of Chapter 11 Practice." The ABI honors authors who have significantly contributed to the ABI's library and educational mission of providing high-quality insolvency titles. Mr. Friedland, along with co-authors, Michael L. Bernstein, Professor John D. Ayer and Professor George W. Kuney, will be honored during the ABI's 19th Annual Winter Leadership Conference, scheduled for December 6-8 in Rancho Mirage, California.

Mr. Friedland also serves on the ABI's Board of Directors. The ABI is the largest multi-disciplinary, non-partisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency. More information regarding the ABI can be found at www.abiworld.org.

Mr. Friedland focuses his practice on restructuring troubled companies. He has extensive experience in guiding companies through a variety of transactional and litigation settings, with an emphasis on out-of-court workouts, Chapter 11 proceedings and representing parties in buy/sell transactions. His litigation experience includes a wide array of business disputes, including, preference, fraudulent conveyance, equitable subordination, substantive consolidation and Chapter 11 plan confirmation issues. Mr. Friedland's practice also includes providing general legal counsel to healthy companies and their principals.
