Schiff Hardin LLP's Ismail Alsheik Appointed to the Associate Board of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms
Joins Schiff Hardin’s Patricia Brown Holmes in Leadership Role at This Organization

Ismail Alsheik, an associate in Schiff Hardin's Corporate and Securities Group, has been appointed to the new associate board of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms (Chicago Committee). Patricia Brown Holmes, leader of Schiff Hardin's White Collar Crime and Corporate Compliance Group, also serves on the Chicago Committee's Board of Directors.
The Chicago Committee is dedicated to fostering racial and ethnic diversity in the Chicago legal community and concentrates its efforts on providing substantive programming for minority law students, associates, partners and its member law firms.
About Ismail Alsheik
Mr. Alsheik focuses on a wide range of corporate and securities transactions, including private equity and public company mergers and acquisitions. He also counsels clients in securities and general corporate compliance. He is active in Schiff Hardin's pro bono program.
About Patricia Brown Holmes
Ms. Holmes is a former Illinois state court trial judge. She recently completed the co-representation of Hollinger International's Corporate Counsel, Mark Kipnis, in the four-month federal criminal jury trial, United States v. Conrad Black et al. She concentrates her practice in general complex litigation. Ms. Holmes currently represents several state and local agencies, a major Chicago hospital, and high profile individuals in matters involving the federal, state and local government, including whistleblower/qui tam matters, internal investigations, and compliance and white collar criminal issues. She also handles complex litigation matters on behalf of a variety of corporate clients.
