Byung J. ("BJay") Pak, a partner in Schiff Hardin's Litigation and White Collar Crime and Corporate Compliance Groups, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Clients' Security Fund by the President of the State Bar of Georgia, Jeffrey O. Bramlett. The Board is comprised of six lawyers and one non-lawyer, and each member serves a term of five years.

In announcing the appointment, Mr. Bramlett stated: "I am familiar with BJay's dedication to public service from his years as a federal prosecutor. I know he will do a superb job as Trustee and bring the perspective of lawyer with public sector experience to the Board’s deliberations."

The purpose of the Clients' Security Fund is to promote public confidence in the administration of justice and the integrity of the legal profession. The lawyers of Georgia have joined together to create a Fund of approximately $2.5 million for this purpose. The primary function of the Board of Trustees is to analyze applications filed by persons seeking monetary relief for losses incurred as the result of the dishonest conduct of members of the State Bar of Georgia and to pay appropriate claims.
