Schiff Hardin LLP Represents Dorel Industries Inc.'s Pacific Cycle Division in the Acquisition of PTI Sports

Schiff Hardin represented Dorel Industries Inc.'s Pacific Cycle division in the $28.1 million asset acquisition of PTI Sports, a leading U.S. designer, manufacturer, and distributor of bicycle parts, helmets, and other accessories.

This purchase is part of Dorel's strategy to grow its bicycle and related products businesses.  PTI is the number two North American bicycle helmet company, and it licenses products to Schwinn, Mongoose, Disney, Nickelodeon, Mattel (Polly) Master Lock, Thomas the Train and The Discovery Channel.

The Schiff Hardin team included attorneys Alex B. Young, Steve E. Isaacs, Ismail Alsheik, John M. Schietinger, and Bruce P. Weisenthal, as well as paralegal Paul Bernacki.

Earlier in 2008, Schiff Hardin represented Dorel Industries Inc. in the acquisition of Cannondale Bicycle Corporation.
