Leah Ward Sears, a partner at Schiff Hardin LLP and former Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court, is a winning recipient of the "Fastcase 50" award, which honors the law's smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries and leaders.
Nominations for the annual "Fastcase 50" award were submitted to legal publisher Fastcase by industry leaders, law firm managers, legal technology peers, and individuals around the world who recommend candidates deserving of this recognition.
Leah Ward Sears joined Schiff Hardin in 2009 after distinguished service on the Georgia Supreme Court. She is leader of the firm's Appellate Team. Ms. Sears concentrates her practice in general and appellate litigation, with a particular focus on "high stakes" cases, where an appeal is likely. She also advises clients facing governmental inquiries. As both a former practicing attorney and judge, Ms. Sears is particularly adept at developing and advising clients on litigation strategy.
