Schiff Hardin LLP Adds Associates to Nationally Recognized Antitrust and Sports Law Team In Ann Arbor Office

Schiff Hardin LLP is pleased to announce the addition of two associates to the distinguished team of antitrust and sports law attorneys in the newly established Ann Arbor, Mich., office. Suzanne L. Wahl and Jessica Sprovtsoff, both previously associates with Miller Canfield in Ann Arbor, joined Schiff Hardin as associates in the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group. Four experienced paralegals and two administrative assistants from Miller Canfield also joined Schiff Hardin's Ann Arbor office.

Curtner, one of the four new partners who joined Schiff Hardin/Ann Arbor from Miller Canfield and who leads the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group firm-wide, said, "There are superb synergies between our practice and Schiff Hardin's national, firm-wide capabilities. Ms. Sprovtsoff's practice covers all areas of business and commercial litigation, with a focus on complex commercial cases and class action litigation, primarily antitrust. Prior to entering private practice, she served as a law clerk in the Eastern District of Michigan and for the Michigan Court of Appeals. Ms. Sprovtsoff is a graduate of American University Washington College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2006) and the University of Michigan (B.A., American Culture, 2003).

The associates join four partners who came to Schiff Hardin from Miller Canfield in Ann Arbor on January 17, 2012, and who form the nucleus of Schiff Hardin's Ann Arbor office. The partners are all members of the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group and include Mr. Curtner, Frederick R. Juckniess, Kimberly K. Kefalas and Robert J. Wierenga. Each partner also is integral to Schiff Hardin's sports law practice and General Litigation and Intellectual Property Groups.

Mr. Curtner and his team will continue to represent the National Collegiate Athletic Association in a number of matters nationally, including: In re Student-Athlete Likeness Litigation; Agnew v. NCAA; and Aloha Sports, Inc. v. NCAA.
