Joshua R. More, a partner in Schiff Hardin's Environmental Group will be moderating the Environmental Law Institute's Associates Seminar titled, New EPA Coal Ash Rules: Understanding the Options on Thursday, June 17. The conference will be held at the Environmental Law Institute (2000 L Street, NW, Suite 620 Washington, D.C.) from 12:00-2:00 p.m. EDT, but is also available via conference call.
This May, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the first-ever federal rule to ensure the safe disposal and management of coal ash. The panel, consisting of a representative from USEPA, the Environmental Integrity Project, and the Utility Solid Waste Activities Group, will discuss the background and features of the proposals, benefits, drawbacks and the role of recycling.
