Legal Ethics in Illinois, Lorman Education Services

April 23, 2008

2:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Barry S. Alberts, a partner in Schiff Hardin's Litigation Group, will speak at the "Legal Ethics in Illinois" seminar sponsored by Lorman Education Services. Mr. Alberts' session is "Lawyers' Professional Responsibility # Hypothetical Scenarios."  The seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn William Tell hotel in Countryside, IL.

Mr. Alberts' session will focus on multiple representation issues, conflicts that arise during the course of existing attorney-client relationships, conflict waiver issues, and tensions between the attorney's ethical duties of confidentiality and loyalty.

This innovative seminar will seek to help practicing attorneys get up to speed on the joint defense agreement and privilege; understand the intricacies of electronic discovery; get a handle on complicated issues surrounding professional responsibility; avoid problems down the road by protecting themselves and their practice; and find out exactly what the critical issues are and how to best handle them. Attorneys will gain the practical insight needed to deal with any challenges that come along, including tips on conflict-checking procedures for their firms.

CLE credits are available (IL CLE 6.0 including Ethics 6).
