Schiff Hardin Partner David A. Fitzgerald will speak on Congressional Action on Energy Issues at the Eleventh Annual Conference on Energy in California presented by Law Seminars International.
The conference takes place September 14 and 15, 2009 at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco, Calif.
Program Summary
California has been setting ambitious new courses in areas such as generation mix, climate change policy, design and investment in the high-voltage transmission system, energy efficiency, and standards for resource adequacy, as well as a continuing clean-up from the Energy Crisis of 2000-2001. This multi-faceted and evolving energy agenda is now confronting a global financial meltdown. California is also adapting to a new administration in Washington that is setting bold new goals in the areas of energy policy and economic recovery.
This eleventh annual conference will bring together experts at the local, state and federal levels, as well as the private sector, to address the current state of energy markets, legislative and regulatory initiatives, the perspective and concerns of the financial community and developments under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
