John M. Schietinger practices primarily in the areas of corporate and securities transactions and corporate governance and compliance matters, and public finance matters.
Corporate and Securities
In the areas of corporate and securities transactions and corporate governance and compliance matters, Mr. Schietinger has represented public and private companies in connection with acquisitions and dispositions of stock and assets. He has represented public companies in securities offerings registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, with an aggregate issue price of more than $1.5 billion. Mr. Schietinger also advises companies in connection with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, and registration and exemption of securities under state securities laws.
Public Finance
In the area of public finance, Mr. Schietinger has acted as bond counsel and counsel to the issuer in connection with tax-exempt financings for a variety of issuers. His work encompasses a wide variety of bond financings, including multi-family housing revenue bonds, health and educational facilities revenue bonds, wastewater utility revenue bonds, general obligation debt certificates and tax increment financings.
