Ronald B. Gaither

Counsel

Ronald B. Gaither is a trial attorney handling matters in all aspects of general litigation ranging from complex commercial disputes to sophisticated construction matters. He also handles products liability claims.

Mr. Gaither serves as outside litigation counsel for the Atlanta Braves, providing guidance on a number of matters impacting the organization. In addition, Mr. Gaither provides litigation counsel related to motorsport activities, specifically issues involving the safety of track designs and configurations. He is an amateur motorcycle racer and has first-hand knowledge of issues involving motorsports. 

Mr. Gaither has a wide range of litigation experience in state and federal court, arbitration and mediation proceedings, and other alternative dispute resolution. He has experience negotiating contracts, preparing corporate formation agreements, and advising clients regarding all aspects of their business. Mr. Gaither enjoys providing legal and business strategies for small start-up companies to large, well-established industry leaders.

Additionally, Mr. Gaither's practice includes the entertainment industry, for which he has represented artists and record labels in a myriad of complex transactions. He has negotiated and drafted performance contracts for Grammy Award-winning artists based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Schiff Hardin, Mr. Gaither practiced with a Georgia-based law firm. Before that, he practiced with two other national law firms.

Mr. Gaither honorably served in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

Pro Bono Activities

Mr. Gaither represented clients of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society as inaugural recipient of the Powell Goldstein Fellowship. He also serves on a panel with the United Way to help end homelessness for veterans.
