Michael Burnstein has a practice emphasizing wealth management and tax-exempt organizations.
Previous Experience
Mr. Burnstein served as an attorney-adviser to the Honorable Maurice B. Foley of the United States Tax Court (1995-1997). During that time period, Judge Foley's chambers decided Estate of Schauerhamer v. Commissioner (Section 2036 applied to family limited partnerships) and Bob Jones University v. Commissioner (museum spun off by school with racially discriminatory policy held exempt under Section 501(c)(3)), among many other cases.
