Lisa A. Brown concentrates her practice in commercial litigation and class action defense, including professional liability and insurance matters. She was a member of the trial team that twice successfully defended a major telecommunications company from claims of alleged trade secret misappropriation and business torts. Both were multi-week trials involving more than $1 billion in claimed damages. In addition, she has successfully defended multi-party coverage and extra-contractual liability actions and business and consumer class actions. As the Partner in Charge of Associate Development, Ms. Brown works with firm and practice group management and with the firm's diversity, recruiting, and professional personnel committees to coordinate the firm's approach to associate professional development issues. She focuses on staffing and workload issues, including managing pro bono commitments, leaves of absence and flexible work arrangements, and on integrating first-year lawyers into the practice. Ms. Brown is a resource to associates and a liaison between them and firm management concerning professional development issues.
