Stephen A. Marcus

Stephen A. Marcus concentrates his practice in the areas of general corporate law and securities regulation. Mr. Marcus also has extensive experience in the municipal finance area.
His practice focuses on capital finance transactions, including public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, syndication of investment interests, venture capital finance and related securities law compliance issues.
His services also include counseling on entity formation and structure, and document negotiation and preparation.
Clients include private and public companies, as well as nonprofit and tax-exempt institutions.
Pro Bono Activities
As a volunteer attorney for Lawyers for the Creative Arts, Mr. Marcus has conducted mini-courses on business formation, organization, and obtaining tax-exempt status for nonprofit artist groups.
He also has represented artists in connection with author/producer contracts, financing arrangements and performance contracts, and he serves as general counsel to the Midwest Ecological Landscaping Association.
