Sarah R. Speakman focuses on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including a particular emphasis on litigation, labor negotiations and employment practices, and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) hearings and arbitrations. She has participated in aspects of litigation including discovery, motions work, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.

In addition to her litigation work, Ms. Speakman provides regular advice and counsel on workplace issues to numerous private and public sector employers. She has also developed and presented seminars for management and non-supervisory employees on subjects such as harassment and discrimination, respect and professionalism in the workplace, diversity, and managing employee leaves of absence. In addition, Ms. Speakman conducts independent internal investigations for employers.

Experience

Earlier in her career, Ms. Speakman was an attorney at two other California-based law firms and a Hawai'i-based law firm, where she handled various labor and employment matters.
