Summary:

Schiff Hardin represented Dorel Industries Inc.'s Pacific Cycle division in the $28.1 million asset acquisition of PTI Sports, a leading U.S. designer, manufacturer and distributor of bicycle parts, helmets and other accessories.

This acquisition effectively advances our client's strategy to grow its recreational and leisure business segment. The Pacific Cycle division will now be able to offer major retail chains integrated buying of bicycles and bicycle accessories, in addition to wide-reaching, exclusive supply programs.
 
Earlier in 2008, Schiff Hardin represented Dorel Industries Inc. in the acquisition of Cannondale Bicycle Corporation. In 2004, we assisted Dorel in its acquisition of Pacific Cycle, Inc., which in turn became the division involved in the current purchase.
