He has used various entities to achieve investment objectives for overseas and domestic investors, developers and property owners.
Mr. Suto primarily represents clients engaged in the development, acquisition, leasing, management, and financing of office, multi-family and retail properties. Some representative transactions include:
- The structuring of a foreign investment entity for institutional investors which has investments that include several signature buildings in New York City.
- An off balance sheet joint venture with a non-traded real estate investment trust (REIT) controlled by a large insurance company that formed a joint venture with a foreign investment fund to which the REIT contributed multiple properties and the investment fund contributed cash.
- Three German investment entities advised by Prudential Real Estate Investors in the sale of 95% of an office building at 666 Fifth Avenue in New York for $1.8 billion – the most expensive per square foot price ever paid for an office building in the United States.
Previous Experience
For several years, Mr. Suto was president of a private investment company. This practical business experience has given him valuable insight into clients' needs.
