Adam S. Weiss has extensive experience negotiating and drafting patent, trademark, copyright, trade dress, computer, e-commerce and Internet agreements, including complex license, assignment, security interest and settlement agreements.
Mr. Weiss is licensed by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and focuses in securing and protecting intellectual property rights for his clients. In this capacity, he litigates and counsels clients with respect to all areas of intellectual property law and has been involved in cases in or before:
His practice includes a particular emphasis on working with clients to most effectively manage such intellectual property assets.
Mr. Weiss regularly works with one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of household consumer products and one of the world's leading food companies. He has assisted such companies in roles as both outside and in-house counsel.
He also is heavily involved in aiding clients with respect to the transfer of their intellectual property portfolios in merger, acquisition, and other corporate transactions.
Mr. Weiss spent four years as an Adjunct Professor at IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he taught a course on Advanced Legal Research and Drafting in the intellectual property area.
