Summary:
Schiff Hardin successfully prosecuted a two-month jury trial of a trade secrets case in San Diego on behalf of our client, K-Tube Corporation. In this case, we argued that K-Tube's trade secrets relating to laser-welded medical tubing had been misappropriated by the defendant. The jury found for our client on all counts, awarding a verdict that totaled nearly $14 million in actual and punitive damages, leading the court to enter a permanent injunction against the use or disclosure of the misappropriated trade secrets.
