Pitfalls in the Chicago Building Permit Process

Mark C. Friedlander and Kenneth M. Roberts, co-leaders of Schiff Hardin's Construction Group, and David A. Grossberg, leader of Schiff Hardin's Real Estate Group, present the "Pitfalls in the Chicago Building Permit Process" breakfast presentation.

Lindsay Anderson and Craig Vespa will speak at the event. Both presenters are licensed in the field of Architecture and Structural Engineering. Lindsay is president of Lindsay Anderson Consulting, Ltd. and provides consulting services to the City of Chicago. Craig is Deputy Director of the Chicago Department of Buildings.

Lindsay and Craig will be joining with the Schiff Hardin Construction and Real Estate Groups to explore the permit process. The presentation will focus on the recent changes within the Department of Buildings, the merger of DCAP with the DOB, the different processes by which a building permit can be obtained and the problems encountered with submittals.

The event will be held at Schiff Hardin's Chicago office in the Conference Center on the 66th floor of Sears Tower. Coffee and rolls will be served.
