Utilizing to Your Advantage Evolving Standards for E-Discovery

D. Christopher Ohly, a partner in Schiff Hardin's Intellectual Property Group, will speak at the 4th Annual Life Sciences Counsel Guide to Document Management, E-Discovery, and Litigation Readiness conference sponsored by the American Conference Institute (ACI). Mr. Ohly's session is "Utilizing to Your Advantage Evolving Standards for E-Discovery."  The conference is scheduled for March 31 and April 1 at the Doubletree Metropolitan Hotel in New York City.

Mr. Ohly has been a trial lawyer for more than 30 years. He has tried cases in federal courts throughout the country, in the courts of several states, in arbitral proceedings, and before a number of specialized courts and governmental agencies.

A former Assistant U.S. Attorney, Mr. Ohly now concentrates his practice in intellectual property, including Hatch-Waxman generic pharmaceutical litigation, as well as complex business litigation. He has served as lead counsel in patent, trademark, securities, shareholder and partnership derivative actions, accounting malpractice, tax, white collar criminal, international, and other corporate and commercial litigation.

Mr. Ohly has argued more than 25 appeals, including cases in federal and state appellate courts in several jurisdictions, and he has participated in controversies before the U.S. Supreme Court.  Mr. Ohly has spoken and written frequently on a number of topics, including electronic discovery.
