The Schiff Hardin Parenting Group is pleased to present Michael Brandwein, nationally recognized speaker, parenting consultant (and lawyer), who will discuss, "How to Communicate With Kids (without losing your hair or your mind!)" in the Chicago office. 

About the Event 
Based on Michael Brandwein's Emmy® award-winning television programs, this will be an entertaining, practical presentation that will recharge and refresh anyone who deals with children (not just parents and grandparents) — and help them meet the challenges of building great relationships with those children.

Michael's presentations have been critically endorsed and acclaimed by teachers, parents, and professionals working with youth — because his techniques work, and he brings warmth and humor to important and challenging topics.

At this session, Michael will present specific tips you can use the moment you return home to improve family communication and help young people from pre-school to college to develop greater responsibility, solve problems by talking things out, communicate their feelings respectfully and effectively, and much more.
 
About Michael Brandwein 
Michael Brandwein is a nationally-recognized speaker, author, and consultant on parenting and communication skills. He has made presentations to many large and mid-size law firms, state bar associations and other industry groups, and Fortune 500 companies, and has been the keynote speaker at many national conferences, including the American Bar Association and the Association of Legal Administrators annual meetings.

Michael holds a degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois, where he graduated summa cum laude as a Bronze Tablet Scholar, the highest academic distinction awarded by the University. He also received a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.

In a former life, Michael was a trial lawyer and partner in a mid-size Chicago firm. He left the practice of law in 1987 to pursue his passions: teaching and public speaking.
